A Nigerian man with the Twitter handle @Engr_Ashile has taken to the bird app to say what he would never allow his wife to do.
In a post on Monday, March 8, the man disclosed that his wife will not cook at any family gathering, saying whoever wants that kind of service should employ a caterer.
He added that the woman is his wife and not a cook that should be on guests' beck and call. Many have reacted massively to his post with different comments.
While people hailed him for having his wife's interest at heart, others said most times, women want to be that themselves to be seen as good people.

Briefly.co.za compiled some of the reactions below:
"Most times they choose to do the cooking themselves cuz why pay someone to do it when you can? Plus they get to catch up with family members they haven't seen in a while. If you marry woman wey get sense she no go gree sitdown while other family members dey kitchen dey cook."
"If your wife can't cook at any family gathering then you can get a caterer for them or bring d idea of hiring a caterer to d family member. But if u are not doing any of d above mentioned she will cook and even watch plate, bcs others can't b cooking and she will remain idle."
"Please he should allow me to cook in family gatherings cooking is my hobby, how I love doing that. The women gisting and laughing, I find it interesting and fun though."
"Look at whites lifestyles, dey come together during a family gathering and do the cooking themselves a 3rd party even tho they have d money to hire the best cook in the world. It's not about the money, boss. Don't break d bond that exists in your family because of a trivial issue."
"This doesn't make you the best husband. And it is not a crime for your wife to assist in the kitchen during family occasions."
