Laerskool Baillie Park in Potchefstroom shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of its learners, Jessica Enslin, on 27 August 2026 due to an accident. The school posted an emotional tribute on Facebook, saying the loss had left their community in deep sorrow.

The school said that while Jessica's absence would leave a lasting gap in their community. The memories she left behind would live on in the hearts of her classmates, teachers and everyone who knew and loved her.

According to The Citizen, Jessica passed away alongside her father, Rudi Enslin, and her sibling, Hannes. Emergency services (ER24) responded to the scene, where they were tragically declared deceased.r A verse from Isaiah 49:15–16 closed the tribute by the school:
