A TikToker's candid rant about celebrities blanking ordinary people at industry events has hit a nerve with Mzansi, and the stories flooding the comments are as entertaining as the original clip. The video was captioned:
"I can't get used to this. 😭 It shocks me every time it happens.”
User @zamaaaaa26 described being made to feel invisible on at least three separate occasions at influencer events and creative spaces. He explained that people would walk up mid-conversation, completely ignore him, and greet the celebrity directly as if he did not exist.
‘They not even gonna look at me, they not gonna greet me,’ he said, adding that even his attempts to greet them back were met with confused stares. ‘Huh? And then when I greet them while they're talking, then they look at me like I'm a madman.

Celebs who left fans feeling seen
The comments section quickly became a hall of fame for celebrities who got it right. User Melca shared that Khanyi Mbau is ‘the sweetest bakithi.’
Another commenter recalled meeting Makhadzi at King Shaka Airport and not getting a photo because they were on different flights, only for Makhadzi to spot her again in Johannesburg, run over, and say:
