- Controversial poet Ntsiki Mazwai has taken to social media to slam FW De Klerk
- The media personality believes that the former president should be jailed for the crimes he committed during the apartheid era
- Many social media users weighed in on her opinion and agreed with what she said
Ntsiki Mazwai has made it clear that she does not see a saint in former apartheid president FW De Klerk.
The poet slammed the ailing politician on social media and said she wants to see him in jail. She tweeted:
“ARREST FW DEKLERK FOR APARTHEID CRIMES.”
Her comments come after the yearly debate of whether De Klerk is a friend or foe was re-ignited during his birthday celebrations. Many Mzansi social media users have shared the same sentiments as Ntsiki and called for his head. Twitter user idalawhatilike said:
“But ANC keeps him on as unofficial deputy president mos, that stepping down in 1996 was just for theatrics.”
“De Klerk has the nerve!”
“Only in SA would people like de Klerk want to lecture us about democracy and talk about human rights. The same man who stood against democracy for so long, the same person responsible for so many human rights violations.”
“De Klerk didn't choose to end apartheid because he was a good guy. The economy was in shambles, with billions in foreign debt, and continuing to implement racist policies was too unaffordable. The whites had already amassed enough wealth and they'd have nothing more to gain.”
Meanwhile Briefly.co.za previously reported that controversial media personality Ntsiki Mazwai has slammed the women in the EFF.
In a series of tweets, the poet said that the women grovel too much to the male leadership.
“Again..... No woman in eff has as much power, influence or courage as me. ZERO, they all cower to male leaders. Bonke.”
Mazwai went on to say:
“Akere you blocked my entry cos you were jealous and yet you have never reached my level, they will throw you all under the bus like they did with Mandisa. Qhubekani.”
Her rant divided social media users. Some felt that she was projecting her rejection while others agreed with her views. Twitter user JosephSadung1 said:
“I'm happy no one at top six EFF gives u attention you need. So relax.”
“Hayi Ntsiki, when you as women get at each other, you are defeating the end-game of your suffrage and emancipation.
"As women you don't have to be pitted against each other. Each one of you have power, courage in your own space and structure. Empower each other guys.”
“It’s you championing women struggles on one hand, then you denouncing them on the other hand!! Having a big mouth doesn’t mean you strong!!! You impact is 0 if you were Thandiswa yeah maybe!! Sit.”
“Wena wagafa now I believe it, self-serving, everything is all about you, masquerading as a feminist while you are not.”
