Woman Who Is 8 Months Pregnant Wins Gold in Intense Taekwondo Competition

- An expectant mother, Aminat Idrees, has wowed people at the National Sports Festival in her home country

- Despite being eight months pregnant, the woman won gold in the poomsae category as all her compositions got praise from spectators

- While her video got the admiration of many on Twitter, there were others who said such activity is strenuous for her state

A heavily pregnant woman, Aminat Idrees, amazed many as she clinched a gold medal in taekwondo contest at the ongoing National Sports Festival 2020.

It should, however, be noted that the woman participated in the mixed poomsae category. Poomsae is "a set sequence of movements that consists of the various fundamental stances, blocks, punches and kicks logically arranged in a meaningful order."

The woman won the honour for her state. In a video shared on Twitter, Aminat could be seen demonstrating different compositions in the fight game.

The performance was carried out in collaboration with a male counterpart identified as Arowora Roqeeb.

Aminat also went home with silver and bronze medals in the female category and as an individual participant respectively.
