Female painter and muralist, Anita-Pearl Mwinnabang Ankor, has carved out a niche in a male-dominated field, reaching beyond Ghana's borders with her collections.

With a thriving career spanning over five years, she has painted some of Africa's acclaimed music and television personalities, including Nigeria's Davido, Wiyaala, award-winning TV star, Nana Aba Anamoah, and a few other famous faces.

Affectionately called The female Painter, she started her career in painting in 2015 as a hobby at the University of Ghana, and later picked the brush to mix colours to create beautiful designs.

She credits her drive for painting to the stunning design of another painter, which eventually propelled her pursuit of painting as a career.

Speaking in an interview with Sammy Flex of Zylofon FM, Ankor indicated that painting is a profitable venture and disclosed that her highest-paid contract earned her R112 000.

Ankor can boast of working on the Cactus Creek Hotel Ghana in Aburi, which is owned by veteran Ghanaian actor, director, and TV show host, Kwaku Sintim-Misa, also known as KSM.

The indigene of Nandom in the Upper West Region who comes from a family of artists revealed that her talent is inherent as she studied a different course in the university.

Ankor who is the founder of art company NYTAZ Arts is an expert in murals, pencil arts, interior, and exterior painting.
