In true style, Unathi Nkayi and Mel Bala escorted fashion brand Naked Ape and its founder, Shaldon Kompan, on Friday, 27 September’s SA Fashion Week event at Melrose Arch.

Unathi wore a sil white suit fit for a queen and adorned her outfit with a Zulu-inspired clutch purse and beautiful beaded hairstyle.

It wasn't only Nkayi's fashion choices that got the crowds buzzing. The trio arrived at the boujee event in a never-before-seen Mercedes-Benz V-Class that sported a new grill.

The current Mercedes-Benz V-Class model retails for R3 million. However, this stunning whip was unlike anything the crowd had seen before. Many people even said it was reminiscent of the Mercedes-Maybach.

People at the event couldn’t help but wonder if the sleek and sophisticated car was custom-made for Naked Ape or if it was a preview of a new model. One thing is certain: Naked Ape and his A-list entourage are re-writing fashion history with the lux ride.

Unathi posted about the event on her Instagram account. She captioned the post:

"It’s always the gracious thing to do, to attend your favourite fashion houses fashion shows in their creations. ATELIER Made for me many moons ago when I called @shaldonkopman and asked for a white silk tuxedo🫶🏾♥️

"Last night @nakedapeofficial exhibited a range fit for African royalty reminding us why the greats like Samuel L Jackson and Wouter Kellerman have always adorned him.

South African soccer stars Teboho Mokeona and Mothobi Mvala were also spotted at the event. Both Mamelodi Sundowns players also own Mercedes Benzes and were quick to pose with the Naked Ape designer.
