Controversial Beauty Queen Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has returned to South Africa. Her return sparked outrage online, with people questioning the reliability of the Department of Home Affairs when it comes to serious crimes like identity theft.
Taking to Facebook on Sunday, 10 August 2025, Operation Dudula revealed that Chidimma was in Mzansi despite claims by the department that she and her mother were deported. They alleged that the department gave people a false sense of action with this move.
"Yet, instead of ensuring our laws are upheld, Home Affairs appears to be conducting fake deportations that give the public a false sense of action. Many of these so-called 'removals' seem to be temporary arrests, followed by quiet releases."

Mzansi angered by Chidimma's return
An X user by the handle, @Delakufapatriot, took to social media to voice their concerns about Chidimma's freedom to enter and leave South Africa as she pleases.
"Chidimma Adetshina, a Nigerian who stole South Africa's Identity, is still in South Africa, illegally. Chidimma Adetshina, who was asked by the organisers of the Miss Universe Nigeria Pageant if she is available to contest, told them that she's in Cape Town," the user stated.
The netizen further slammed the Department of Home Affairs, questioning their leniency when it comes to Chidimma Adetshina.
"They have fooled South Africans by doing a pseudo-deportation while in fact they know that she's in South Africa living happily ever after. All Illegal immigrants seem to be arrested by the South African Government under the guise of deportation, but in fact, they arrest them to release them later. The Arrests are meant to Fool South Africans," the angry netizen said.

"So Nigerians gave a crown to a woman who still considers herself a South African."
Mxotshwa KaNyandeni Jefter argued:
"She is not guilty as the crime was committed by her parents with her knowledge, and legally she is now a South African of Nigerian origins. The South African law is very clear, and she can not be declared stateless, but she has the right to choose her nationality at the country of birth and parents' nationality. Simple and clear. Chill guys."
