Thandeka, who is often perceived as bold and unshakeable, became visibly tearful as she opened up about one of the most painful chapters of her life. "I never got to see him for the last time," she said before adding, "There [are] a lot [of things] [I] would have loved to have said to him. And I even couldn't come to his funeral because I was a mess. I would go to a store, and I would just break down and have panic attacks. Oh my God, oh my God, he's dead. I'm never going to see him again."
She explained that the grief had rendered her completely incapable of travelling, leaving her unable to say goodbye in the way she would have wanted.
"It's a moment that you can never have back. That's the issue with it," she added.
Thandeka shared that she has since worked through the guilt, leaning on the understanding that things happened the way they were meant to.
