Mathapelo Kanyane, better known as Black Cat Girl, has broken her silence on her relationship with dancer and entertainer Mixon Tholo, popularly known as Tsekeleke, revealing that she played a central role in turning his life around.
The two began dating in 2024 after crossing paths at a friend's party. Their romance quickly attracted attention in Mzansi entertainment circles, with the pair frequently appearing together in videos, music projects and public appearances.
How it all started
Black Cat Girl told Daily Sun that when she entered Tsekeleke's life, he was in a financially precarious position. She claimed that moneylenders, known locally as abomashonisa, had taken control of some of his bank cards as a result of unpaid debts. Rather than walk away, she said she stepped in to help him take charge of his finances. She said:

Her support reportedly extended beyond just financial advice. Black Cat Girl described the living conditions she encountered during that period, saying she spent time in Tsekeleke's old room and was even bitten by rats. The experience convinced her that changes had to be made. She reached out to musician Dr Malinga, who assisted them in improving their situation.
Family tensions and a complicated legacy
Despite her efforts, Black Cat Girl said not everyone in Tsekeleke's circle saw her contributions in a positive light. Some family members allegedly accused her of dipping into his money, a claim she strongly disputes, saying everything she did aimed to help him build a better life.
Tsekeleke has not been entirely silent on the matter. He previously acknowledged that Black Cat Girl had a meaningful impact on his life, crediting her with supporting his personal transformation and even buying him clothes during their time together.
Although the relationship eventually fell apart, Black Cat Girl stands by her version of events, insisting she was a driving force behind the entertainer's growth during one of the more difficult chapters of his life.
