Mpumelelo "Sbindi" Mseleku is once again at the centre of a heated social media storm after his wife Amahle Biyela made some startling claims about his ability to provide for his family on the latest episode of Izingane Zesthembu, which aired on 15 October 2026.

In the episode, Amahle sat down with her aunt to discuss the state of her marriage. Her aunt pressed her on whether she still had feelings for Sbindi and what her plans were, given that he was due to return on 27 April to finalise her lobola. When asked whether she wanted to go through with the wedding or remain a baby mama, Amahle seemed unbothered, saying Sbindi could do whatever he wanted.

"I had an option that since Mpumelelo can't provide or take care of me, my father doesn't have a problem with providing for me. However, he told me he can't provide for someone else's wife," Amahle said.

The confession struck a nerve with viewers, many of whom pointed out that this is not the first time a woman in Sbindi's life has raised the same concern.

Tirelo Kale, another of his wives, previously called out Sbindi for failing to provide for their child.

Briefly News also reported on Sbindi's admission that he stopped financially supporting his two children with his first baby mama, Vuyokaci Nciweni, claiming she had cut off all contact with him.

The episode reignited a long-running debate about Sbindi's capacity to sustain a polygamous household, and social media users had very little sympathy.

"They have been complaining from day 1, and instead of leaving him, they procreated with him."

"If Vuyo complains about him not maintaining his kids, they say she wants him back."

sufficient_love reacted:

"Serves them right, I mean, so young and entering a polygamous marriage WILLINGLY?"

SamukelisiweD posted:

"Who is he supporting? Because all of them have the same complaint."

The recurring theme across Sbindi's relationships has left many questioning how he manages his responsibilities across multiple households, with peeps on X seemingly losing patience with what they see as a pattern of financial neglect.
