Business anchor Rofhiwa 'Mad Money' Madzena has made her television comeback just weeks after a high-profile exit from eNCA. On Wednesday, 2 September 2026, she took to X to announce that she had joined Business Day TV, sharing a graphic with the words "Yay FOR DAY 1 VIBES!" alongside the SADC Insights backdrop of her new workplace.

"I'm back on-air, back on focusing on business and the markets. Happy to be part of the @BusinessDayTV family," she wrote.

Rofhiwa Madzena's road to Business Day TV

The announcement comes roughly two months after eNCA dismissed Madzena as part of a wave of three departures in July 2026. The channel cited undisclosed outside work as the reason, with Madzena having hosted two productions, All Angels and Founders Legacy, without the company's knowledge. She had been part of the eNCA team since 2018, working as a business anchor and producer.

Heidi Giokos opens up about her new SABC News role after eNCA exit

Before eNCA, Madzena built her media career at CNBC Africa and contributed to both Forbes Africa and Forbes Woman Africa. She holds a BA degree in international relations and media studies from Wits University. Business Day TV, available on DStv Channel 412, is a natural home for her given her long focus on markets and economic reporting.

One familiar face wasted no time celebrating the news. Heidi Giokos, a former eNCA colleague who was herself let go after an undisclosed advertisement deal and has since been announced at SABC News, responded with enthusiasm.

"Absolutely 🔥❤️ onwards and upwards baby girl @rmadzena," Giokos wrote.
