DJ Maphorisa is not chasing the typical celebrity lifestyle. During his highly anticipated appearance on Podcast and Chill on 17 September 2026, the Amapiano pioneer gave hosts Sol Phenduka and MacG a rare and candid look into what he truly wants his future to look like, and it involves far more mud than VIP sections.

When MacG asked the Scorpion Kings star whether marriage was on the cards, Maphorisa did not hold back.

"I want to, I will. I want six kids, I want a farm, I want cattle, pigs. I want to plant peppers, cabbage," he said, painting the picture of a man who craves a grounded, simple life despite his enormous success.

Co-host Sol raised an important point: at Maphorisa's level of fame and wealth, finding someone who is genuinely interested in him and not his money would be no small feat. The DJ acknowledged the challenge, tracing it back further than fans might have expected.

"It's a tough one because in high school they didn't even look my direction," he admitted, offering a surprisingly vulnerable moment that humanised the star many know for his untouchable energy behind the decks.

The topic of his past romance with actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo also came up during the episode. The two had an on-and-off relationship that attracted significant public attention, including a domestic abuse case. However, each time MacG and Sol tried to draw Maphorisa into discussing the details, he deflected, steering the conversation elsewhere.
