Cassper Nyovest found himself in the middle of a social media storm after DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small delivered a landmark concert at FNB Stadium on 19 September 2026, with critics quick to use the moment as ammunition against the rapper's celebrated Fill Up series.
The Scorpion Kings concert reportedly drew more than 70,000 fans to the Johannesburg venue, with over 50 supporting artists and cultural performers sharing the stage across the night. The milestone immediately sparked comparisons to Cassper's historic Fill Up FNB Stadium show, which attracted 68,000 attendees.

Cassper Nyovest defends his Fill Up legacy
Rather than staying silent, Mufasa stepped into the conversation and reminded his critics exactly where the dream began.
"Before anyone believed it was possible, Cassper Nyovest did it!!! You can never rewrite history," he wrote, pointing out that he was the one who convinced South African artists that filling large stadiums was achievable.
He also made clear that the day belonged to the Scorpion Kings, urging fans to celebrate without dragging him into it.
"Congratulate the boyz without using my name!!! Be happy for them; I know I am !!! It's an amazing day for South African music but most importantly, for THE LEGENDARY SCORPION KINGS!"
This is not the first time Cassper has had to defend his stadium legacy. Back in 2025, he faced backlash after publicly questioning how many tickets Travis Scott sold for his concert at the same venue, which holds between 94,000 and 95,000 people.
