Podcast and Chill has landed in hot water again, this time over remarks made about the Kempton Park killings that left Mzansi furious.
On 15 September 2026, a clip from the show's latest episode began circulating on X. In it, the hosts discussed the disturbing discovery of four women's bodies in Kempton Park, as well as the disappearance of 38-year-old Elizabeth "Tsontso" Moselakgomo, who went missing on 9 September after leaving her Rhodesfield home for a routine run. The episode was recorded while she was still missing, but by the time it aired, her body had already been found and identified by her family on 14 September.
Rather than treating the subject with care, MacG made a flippant comment suggesting Moselakgomo could have simply outrun whoever attacked her.
"You'd think the lady would keep on running."

Sol Phenduka, often seen by fans as the more level-headed voice on the show, also chimed in, joking that she likely did not see her attacker coming.
"Sometimes you're running, and someone just comes from the woods, from the darkness, and they snatch you."
The humour did not stop there. In a jab that appeared to reference Yanda Woods' podcast Spreading Humours dropping in viewership, Phenduka suggested Moselakgomo may have been targeted because of the race number pinned to her chest.
"They see numbers on your chest and snatch you. Someone in the woods saw her number and thought, 'I'm taking her!'"

Mzansi calls out the hosts
The remarks drew swift and fierce condemnation online, with many arguing that joking about missing or murdered women was never acceptable, particularly given South Africa's deeply troubling rate of gender-based violence and disappearances.
