Hollywood served up one of its most unexpected wedding moments when actor Tobey Maguire stood at the altar, not as the groom, but as the officiant at his former wife's nuptials. Jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer married Geoffrey Ogunlesi on Saturday, 10 October 2026, at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii, in a ceremony filled with A-list glamour and family warmth.
The timing raised eyebrows across the entertainment world. Maguire, 51, and Meyer had only officially finalised their divorce on 21 September 2026, nearly a decade after separating in 2016 and six years after filing. Despite that, the former Spider-Man star stepped up to lead the ceremony for Meyer, 49, and her new husband.
A star-studded island affair
The guest list read like an Academy Awards after-party. Leonardo DiCaprio attended alongside his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, while Jeff Bezos was present with his wife Lauren Sánchez. Friends of the bride included actress Courteney Cox and celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe.

Meyer and Ogunlesi's two children from their relationship also featured in the celebrations. The couple welcomed a baby daughter earlier in the summer of 2026, with Meyer publicly confirming the arrival in a Father's Day tribute to Ogunlesi on Instagram in June. She wrote at the time:
"A perfect month with our perfect baby girl. We love you the most @geoffo212 Happy Father's Day. ♥️"
Maguire and Meyer's two children, daughter Ruby Sweetheart, 19, and son Otis Tobias, 17, were also part of the celebration, making it a full family affair.
Who is Geoffrey Ogunlesi?
Ogunlesi is the founder and chief executive of The Ogunlesi Group, an entertainment and music management company representing artists including Young Thug, Charlieonnafriday and Myles Frost. He is the son of Nigerian billionaire, lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi.
The couple's romance became public in the summer of 2023, and they made their red carpet debut at the annual Baby2Baby Gala in November of that year. Meyer serves on the board of the Los Angeles-based nonprofit, which supplies children living in poverty with clothing, diapers and essential items.
Ogunlesi proposed in August 2024. Meyer announced the engagement on Instagram with the caption, "YES!!! ♥️♾️✨," sharing a photo of the two embracing at a candlelit restaurant table adorned with pale pink flowers. She wore a black Miu Miu minidress and a large diamond ring, with celebrities including Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Kelly Rowland and Paris Hilton flooding the comments with congratulations.
