Controversial taxi boss Bafana Sindane is making no apologies for his lifestyle. On 22 October 2026, shaky smartphone footage posted to his Instagram account showed the South African figure standing inside what appears to be a stockroom, surrounded by stacked boxes, bottles of expensive champagne, and what looks like large sums of cash.

The clip, filmed in a raw, first-person style, features Sindane speaking directly and unapologetically: "This is my father's life. This is my life. I worked hard for this. Baby, this is my life, I'm killing you."

The timing of the post has fuelled considerable interest online. Sindane is currently facing an extortion and money-laundering case, and he and his co-accused have been granted bail. It is important to note that the allegations have not yet been proven in court. He recently made headlines after SARS slapped him with a R17 million tax bill.

Mzansi floored by Bafana's post

Reaction to the post has been swift and varied.

kabelo_legodi22 quipped, "I work hard for this Chit", while illmaticesco offered a more light-hearted take: "LET'S HAVE A COFFEE!!!!! Aw Bafana-Bafana."

Not everyone was laughing, though. touchdown2565 wrote, "😢😢😢😢😢Haters are happy... thina we're learning from his mistake 👏👏👏👏", suggesting some followers see the situation as a cautionary tale rather than a celebration.

ntombidevine kept it colourful: "King of the sky😭😭😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣yhuuuu nina." ibrolexis added an ominous note with "It's about to go down 😂😂watch the space." Perhaps the most pointed comment came from mvuselelo, who noted plainly: "SARS just slapped him with a 17 million rand bill."

Despite the legal cloud hanging over him, Sindane appears intent on standing firm in the public eye, making it clear he has no intention of stepping back from the spotlight.
