Thami Ndlala dropped a bombshell during an unexpected appearance on Podcast and Chill on 22 October 2026, opening up about a surprisingly personal phone call he made to prominent businessman Edwin Sodi - one that centred on his wife, DJ and media personality Lerato Kganyago.

The conversation kicked off when host MacG brought up the apparent tension between the two men, claiming that Sodi frequently sends digs at Ndlala on WhatsApp. Ndlala was measured in his response, insisting he bears no grudge. "I have nothing against the gent," he said, downplaying any animosity.

"I once had a phone call with him; I said I'm not comfortable with him booking my wife," Ndlala revealed.

Co-host Sol Phenduka pushed back, pointing out that DJs get booked by business people all the time, and asking why Sodi in particular made Ndlala uneasy. The question drew an initial laugh from Ndlala before he gave a more telling answer.

Ndlala told the hosts that his discomfort with Sodi was not based on paranoia. He claimed to have come across a communication that raised his suspicions about Sodi's intentions towards Lerato.

"I think he was going there; it was not just a false alarm. I stumbled on one of the communications that said, 'Babe,'" he said.
