Fan-favourite 7de Laan actress Carina Nel recently discussed her diagnosis and journey before finding out about the illness.
Nel, who played Dr Alexa Willman on the Afrikaans soapie, recently made headlines when her 7de Laan family rallied behind her on social media.
The star shared on Expresso Show that she had a routine check-up in April, after suffering from exhaustion.
Nel added that after 5 days, she was told that she had brea*t cancer.

The former 7de Laan star also revealed that she had no history of the cancer in her family and was surprised that she had the illness at the age of 38.
“The five days before I received my diagnosis were probably the worst days in this whole journey. It was filled with paralysing fear, where you can’t think, you can’t breathe, you can’t move" she said.
Nel added that nobody can understand what it feels like to have the illness, or the situation you are in.

Michelle Botes was popularly known for her role on Isidingo, where she played Cherel de Villiers.
