A Cape Town woman has left South Africans stunned after sharing a TikTok video documenting the moment she woke up to find the roof of her home completely blown away. This comes after a powerful Level 8 storm battered the Western Cape on 11 May 2026.

In a TikTok video by @kayla_spam092, a young lady announced that she woke up to the roof missing from her house. The Cape Town resident showed her roofless living room with her furniture getting drenched by the rain. She revealed that they were able to find their missing roof after taking a walk.
