"No Ways": SA Truck Driver Wakes Up to Find Tyres Stolen While He Slept

A South African truck driver was left with a serious problem on 13 August 2026 after waking up to find that thieves had stolen every single tyre off his truck while he was sleeping inside. The fact that the driver reportedly slept through the entire operation struck many viewers as hard to believe.

Footage shared by @newsnexussa on TikTok showed the truck parked roadside, its rear axle completely bare and propped up on stacked bricks where the wheels once were. The driver, identified in the clip as Manuel, told the person filming that he had pulled over to rest, believing the spot was safe enough to sleep in:

"I was sleeping here, to just rest a little bit," he said. "We thought maybe safe here."

Tyres stripped overnight

South Africans in the comments were largely unconvinced by the driver's account, with many pointing fingers directly at him:
