Two men were caught on camera stealing goods from the back of a truck while it was still moving through Kaalfontein, Tembisa, in a clip that has left South Africans equal parts shocked and divided.

Fleet management and security company DigitFMS shared the dashcam footage on Instagram on 9 August 2026. The video was not flagged in real time. Instead, it only came to light after the company’s control room reviewed footage that a client had requested, at which point operators spotted the two suspects in the act.

The footage shows the pair gaining access to the truck’s rear cargo compartment while the vehicle was in transit. DigitFMS noted that the compartment had been left unsecured, which gave the men the opening they needed to access the load. Once the incident was confirmed, the control room preserved the footage and handed it over to the client as evidence for further investigation.
