Visitors to Kruger and other South African game reserves are required to stay inside their vehicles at all times while in the wild areas of the park. The rules exist not only to protect tourists but also the animals, since incidents involving humans can result in animals being put down. The post by @luiperdsafaris struck a nerve with many who said they had seen exactly this kind of behaviour before, and that guides and park officials were not always doing enough to stop it. "There was an incident my mom once attended in Kruger Park. The Karen family were driving with their windows wide open. The mother was holding her baby. Without warning, a leopard leapt through the window, snatched the child from her arms and disappeared into the bush."
@Rebrand...... shared:
"Yoh I respect Kruger mina shame, once drove in the one near Phalaborwa gate. When I saw ukuthi (that) it might be safe for me to pee a bit cause was very pressed lol, I went out, left kids in the car kanti (but) a predator was looking at me. A boer came shouting, 'Go back in the car you idiot; you will be eaten.' Did I not run with my pants down to the car 😂. When we looked kanti, it's there. When I got to the other side, a huge fine of R1500 was waiting for me cause we were told not to go out yeyyy, hai."

"Passenger was drinking. Asked driver to stop and piss in the middle of Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Driver said rather piss in a bottle or hold it because we are not allowed to stop here. Saw a pride of lions as they were arguing. Never said a word for the rest of the trip. 👍"

"Be direct, they probably didn't understand your comments."

"The next thing 'the car is not starting.' 😂😂"
