A South African woman got the surprise of her life during a street interview abroad when a content creator greeted her in Setswana, instantly giving away that he knew exactly where she was from.
The clip, posted on 30 August 2026, shows Yuji Beleza approaching a woman in what appears to be a European city plaza, believed to be in Turkey based on the architecture and a flag visible in the background. He opens with "Dumela, Dumela? U tswa kae?", a Setswana greeting asking where she is from, and the woman's face immediately lit up in shock and laughter.
She confirmed she was from South Africa, specifically Pretoria, and the two quickly bonded over shared languages. She told Yuji she speaks Setswana and understands Sepedi, while he showed off phrases in Sepedi and Zulu, including how to say "you are beautiful" and "I love South Africa."

What made the moment especially warm was how naturally the two connected thousands of kilometres from home. The woman mentioned she also speaks Shangani, to which Yuji responded enthusiastically, keeping the exchange light and playful throughout.
