It emerged that the father-to-be had succumbed to a cardiac arrest while sleeping on the couch.
"Wake up, it's baby day," Moss had told her husband at around 5:15 am local time, unaware he was no more.
Tom is believed to have died after a doctor misinterpreted a scan when he visited the hospital following a severe stomach bug that lasted three weeks.
Tom was cold and stiff
Moss recalled finding her partner "cold and stiff" when she tried to wake him up from his sleep.
The incident occurred 11 days after the scan, hours before she gave birth to their daughter, Harper.
"I called 999 immediately. They asked me to pull Tom onto the floor and perform chest compressions," she told the court.
Moss tried her best to revive her husband until the ambulance arrived, but her efforts were in vain.

What does Moss plan for their daughter?
She decried the overwhelming shock, trauma, and physical exertion of having to pull Tom off the couch and perform chest compressions at 39 weeks pregnant.
The grieving widow described her husband as caring, charming, and funny. She recalled how he'd spent every weekend building furniture in preparation for the baby.
“He won’t be there for any of her birthdays, he won’t ever be there on Christmas morning, and he won’t be there on Father’s Day,” Moss said.
Moss plans to take their daughter to visit her dad's grave when she's old enough to understand.
