The beauty of public proposals
We at Brielfy News spoke with Thina Sebenzile, a waitress at a local Spur, about the beautiful proposal and the reaction of Pedros staff members.
The team asked the waitress if marriage proposals were a common thing at restaurants. She responded:
"Yes, it's a common thing, and we love it. Often, the man will involve us in the planning process when he gets to the restaurant, to either hide the ring in the lady's food or to distract her before he asks the big question. We have a special song for birthdays, but when a proposal happens, we get even more excited. We sing and clap for them, and we celebrate with them. It's usually a beautiful moment for everyone at the restaurant, other customers included too."

We asked her thoughts about public proposals, and she said:
"I think they are a beautiful thing. It's a man's way of showing his love and commitment to his woman, and it's a big moment for everyone involved. It's a special moment that they will remember for the rest of their lives."
When asked what the most beautiful proposal she's seen was, Thina shared:
"I have seen many beautiful marriage proposals, but one that stands out was when a man proposed to his woman on his birthday. The woman thought we were all gathered around their table to celebrate her man, but after the song, there was a big surprise for her. The man went down on his knee and proposed, and she got very emotional and also knelt in front of him, crying. The couple got us and other customers chopping onions; the moment was just too cute."
