Feeling the Easter spirit, a local content creator named Michaelah Crouster filmed her grandfather making a pickled fish dish for the Easter weekend. The man's classic recipe took many social media users on a trip down memory lane.

Michaelah, who shared the video on her TikTok account on 2 April 2026, shared that her grandfather was teaching her the recipe, which included cuts of yellowtail, onions, and various spices. The fish was spiced with salt and pepper before being coated with flour for frying. Next, pickled fish spice mix, curry powder, brown spirit vinegar, sugar, and bay leaves were added to a pot of onions.

Finally, the pair layered the fish and onions in bowls, ready to enjoy.

The young woman captioned her post:
