GAUTENG — The South African Police Service is appealing to the public for help locating a suspect wanted in connection with the killing of Johannesburg media personality and security businessman Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras.
According to SAPS, detectives from the SAPS Provincial Investigation Unit for Serious and Violent Crimes in Gauteng have named 40-year-old Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi as a suspect facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
DJ Warras shot dead outside Johannesburg CBD building
Stock was killed on 16 December 2025 outside the Zambesi Building in the Johannesburg Central Business District, where he had been attending to security operations at the time. He was gunned down at the scene and did not survive. Stock was a recognised figure in South African media circles and ran a security business alongside his public profile.
