Mamelodi Sundowns secured the signature of Siyanda Ndlovu ahead of Orlando Pirates, with the 22-year-old having gone through medicals with the Sea Robbers before the Brazilians moved decisively to snap him up.
Ndlovu attracted interest from multiple sides during the transfer window, including Kaizer Chiefs and clubs from Europe, but it was the Soweto giants who came closest to landing the versatile creative attacker before Sundowns intervened.
**How Sundowns Moved Quickly for Ndlovu**
Ndlovu's agent, Mike Makaab, described the eventual move to Chloorkop as one that came together with striking speed. "I can tell you there was interest in Siyanda from Europe, and obviously there was a great deal of interest in him in South Africa, but the deal with Mamelodi Sundowns happened very quickly; in the blink of an eye," Makaab told iDiski Times.
The agent credited Ndlovu's character and attitude as key factors in his appeal to top clubs. "I've followed his progress over recent seasons, and he's incredibly coachable, and I think that's what's important. If you meet him, he's a wonderful, humble young man — true to who he is. That's what I think will be his biggest advantage," Makaab said.

**Makaab Urges Patience Over Ndlovu's Sundowns Career**
While optimistic about the player's prospects, Makaab called for measured expectations as Ndlovu adjusts to life at one of Africa's biggest clubs.
"I think he doesn't know how good he is, or the potential he has, but it's a new chapter in his life. Before we get too excited, let's hope he settles well at Sundowns – I thought he did really well when he came on," the agent said.
Makaab also highlighted what he believes gives Ndlovu a competitive edge at the highest level. "What I do like is that he plays with an air of confidence, and I don't think he's intimidated by the big occasions," he concluded.
Ndlovu's performances for Golden Arrows in the 2025/26 season — four goals and eight assists across all competitions — were instrumental in generating interest from the country's top clubs and suitors abroad.
