The property sits within Seaton Estate, a coastal development by Collins Residential, and was built in accordance with the estate's architectural and design guidelines.
Lambie worked closely with architect Lisa Rorich and contractor Karl Wang throughout the building process to shape a home that reflects his family's lifestyle rather than a generic blueprint.
Design driven by nature and light
The home's layout was carefully planned to maximise natural light and cross-ventilation, influencing several important design choices. Instead of installing en suite bathrooms upstairs, Lambie chose shared bathrooms to improve airflow and allow more daylight to reach the living areas. The interior seamlessly connects to the garden and patio, creating inviting spaces for both entertaining guests and unwinding with family.

Speaking about the concept, Lambie said the design was intended to blur the line between indoors and outdoors, allowing the family to make the most of the breathtaking views and refreshing coastal breeze throughout the year.
The home features a combination of timber, natural stone and off-shutter concrete, materials Lambie believes offer both longevity and timeless appeal. He encouraged future homeowners to invest in finishes that remain attractive and structurally reliable for years, rather than chasing short-lived trends. The earthy colour palette also helps the property blend effortlessly into its coastal setting while ageing gracefully.
Outdoor living was another major focus during the design process. Spacious lawn areas were intentionally incorporated to give the Lambie children plenty of room to run, play and enjoy the outdoors, making the garden just as important as the home's interior.
Furnishing with craft and intention
Lambie and his wife, Kate, were closely involved in shaping the interior of their home, collaborating with furniture and homeware brand Weylandts to create a space that reflects their personal style.
Together, they selected handcrafted furniture, woven textiles and natural finishes that emphasise skilled craftsmanship and sustainable design, while seamlessly connecting the indoor living areas with the surrounding garden.
Explaining their vision, Lambie said they wanted more than just a house with attractive features. Instead, the couple aimed to create a home that genuinely reflected who they are, adding that a space designed around a family's lifestyle and needs offers far greater long-term satisfaction than one chosen simply for its appearance.
