SA Rugby has put new Springbok jerseys on sale ahead of Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Tour, with four price tiers available from Thursday, 6 August, through Nike stores, Nike.com and select Springbok retail outlets.
The jerseys were made available at the following price points on the official Springbok online retail platform: the authentic RGR home jersey is listed at R2,699.95, the men's stadium jersey at R1,499.95, the women's version at R1,399.90, and the Nike kids jersey at R1,199.95.
What makes the jersey design unique
The centrepiece of the design is a tone-on-tone graphic incorporating lyrics from South Africa's national anthem, Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika, arranged in the shape of the South African flag. The words appear in all five languages carried in the anthem - Xhosa, Zulu, Sotho, Afrikaans, and English - intended to represent the convergence of South Africa's diverse communities and histories.

This feature received positive reviews from the ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula on social media. Nike and SA Rugby confirmed the jersey will appear exclusively across the four RGR Test matches and will not feature in any other fixtures.
CEO Oberholzer praises Nike's design work
SA Rugby CEO Rian Oberholzer welcomed the release, saying the design captured the spirit of the campaign.

"This truly is a Tour like no other and so is this jersey," Oberholzer said.
"Nike have outdone themselves in developing a design that speaks directly and honestly to the motivation of the team and management - they play for the people of South Africa and wear their hearts on their sleeve; now they will wear the words of the anthem on their chests."
The All Blacks begin their South African tour with a match against the Stormers on Friday night before the Test series gets underway.
