According to eNCA and News24, the bodies of the four deceased were discovered on a soccer field still bound in rope and police are waiting for forensic officials to conduct investigations.
Meanwhile, locals have had this to say about the incident:
Musa Sbewu said:
"Such incidents will happen and possibly become widespread since the SAPS is said to be the most corrupt department and the justice system seems lenient towards criminals."
Lulu Chilwane said:
"They have been complaining about a group of boys walking around at night with pangas, robbing people of their belongings and the police did nothing. I just hope they dealt with the right perpetrators."
In other Briefly News reports, a local man was caught completely off-guard this week when he witnessed what appeared to be a kidnapping in progress. He captured parts of the terrifying scene in a video that has since gone viral on social media.
In the short clip, a driver can be seen holding his camera phone in the direction of passing traffic. He appears to be following a speeding taxi down a quiet Pretoria freeway.
It's difficult to see the woman poking her head out of the taxi window but her chilling screams are definitely audible.
