Mzansi rapper Rouge took to social media to share who she believes is the best performer in South Africa. Turns out, Rouge is a huge Riky Rick fan.

After seeing a question online which asked who the best performer in Mzansi is, Rouge felt the need to make it known that for her, it is Riky Rick.

One social media user felt Rouge was being disrespectful to Cassper Nyovest, however, they understood where she was coming from.

Briefly News previously reported that rapper Rouge feels bad because South African hip-hop is not doing as well as she thought it was. The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) nominations have been released and not a single hip-hop artist has been nominated in the category of Album of the Year.

Taking to social media, Rouge quoted a tweet from the SAMAs and said: "Yoh hip-hop," showing her dissatisfaction at the rap game not being good enough to get even a single nomination for the best album.

A few good albums were released last year but clearly to the SAMAs, none of them was good enough to be considered for Album of the Year. Fans are wondering what went wrong and others feel that hip-hop is no longer getting the attention it used to receive.

It was also reported that Mohale Motaung made it known on social media that he believes Makhadzi is the best performer in Mzansi, no question about it.

Taking to social media after answering a question regarding who the best performer in South Africa is, Mohale gave the crown to Makhadzi without hesitation.

“Pls, we all know it’s Makhadzi.”
