Jay-Z is such a protective father. The US billionaire has explained that he only learned to swim after the birth of his daughter, Blue Ivy. The rapper was speaking during an interview with HBO's The Shop: Uninterrupted.
"If she ever fell in the water and I couldn't get her, I couldn't even fathom that thought. I gotta learn how to swim."
Blue Ivy if the first of three kids Hov shares with his wife, Beyoncé. The award-winning Blue is nine years old now.
Jay-Z's swimming pics became memes and were circulated widely a few years ago. The pool diving and jet ski memes trended when people realised the rapper-turned-businessman couldn't swim. The US billionaire is a guest on an upcoming episode of HBO's The Shop: Uninterrupted. The show shared a brief teaser of Jay-Z's interview that dropped on Friday, 28 May.
In the clip, LeBron James asks Beyoncé's hubby if he had ever been "so zoned out" during a stage performance. The rapper-turned-businessman replied:
"In the beginning, I used to get on the stage and just forget all my lyrics."
