Actress Gabriel Union and Hubby Throw Daughter Zaya Lavish Birthday Party

American actress Gabrielle Union and her husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, celebrated their daughter Zaya's 14th birthday with a lavish party.
Union went on social media to pour her message of love for the teen who changed genders from a male to female.
On the eve of her birthday, Dwyane had shared photos of the ongoing preparations which included, among other things, a red carpet.
"Happy Birthday @zayawade. 14! We ❤ you so much and we are so proud of you! Keep shining" wrote the 48-year-old actress.
"I'm obsessed with your happiness! Happy 14th birthday @zayawade," wrote Dwayne.
The actress and her husband came out to publicly share their life's journey since Zaya broke the news that he was transgender in 2020.
"When I look at Zaya, I get hope," 39-year-old Wade said in the interview with People.
He went ahead to reveal that he and Union started discussing Zaya's gender issue when she was three years old.
On her part, Union revealed that when Zaya came out as transgender, they received lots of love and information from the public.
"I didn't have many resources, so I just reached out to everyone I knew from social media. Everyone responded with love, resources, and information," she said.
The celebrity couple supports the LGBTQ+ community a foundation they run christened the Wade Family Foundation.

According to Union, they try as much as possible to support their children's decisions, offering them the freedom to be who they want to be.
"What I love about our home is that everybody is unique, and we allow their uniqueness to shine," she expressed.
Dwayne and Union also have a 2-year-old daughter Kaavia, in addition to seven-year-old Xavier with whom Dwayne came into the relationship.

The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder is married to SuperSport TV presenter Mpho Letsholonyane and remains a darling to many of his fans. Letsholonyane’s post has received positive reactions but many Kaizer Chiefs have also shared their admiration for the former Bafana Bafana midfielder.
