The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are parents for the second time. This is after an announcement that Meghan has given birth to a daughter named Lilibet Diana.

This is after an announcement that Meghan has given birth to a daughter named Lilibet Diana.

Diana was born at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet,” read their statement, as reported by NBC News.

The statement further explains that her middle name, Diana, is given in honor of Prince Harry's late mother, The Princess of Wales, who was killed in a car accident.

Diana joins Harry and Meghan's firstborn son Archie, who is two years old.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that the birth of Meghan and Harry's new daughter could unify the Royal Family who "will welcome the new baby with open arms", a royals expert has claimed.

It comes at a turbulent time for the family after the Sussexes opened up about their decision to leave the Royal Family for the US, and Prince Harry's controversial revelations about his upbringing continue to rattle the palace.

The Daily Express reports that Meghan Markle, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, announced they were expecting a second baby on Valentine's Day this year and Meghan is expected to give birth to a daughter this summer.
