History Made: FBI Selects 1st Black Woman to Join a SWAT Team

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has recorded its first black woman to join the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team.
In the publication by CNN, it was reported that the newly chosen SWAT agent has only been identified as Tai.
She will be undergoing training at a school known as New Operator Training school (NOTS) for 10 weeks.
"The training is to prepare selected individuals for SWAT field operations," the FBI said.

Upon passing the NOTS, Taid will join the San Juan Division's SWAT team as a probationary member and undergo more training until she becomes officially certified, according to the FBI.
"I'm one of those people where I have a task at hand and I just focus on that task," she said in the release. "I don't really think about people looking at me."
"Hopefully somebody will see that I was able to do it," Tai added. "I'm not the biggest person. I'm not as strong as some of these guys. But as long as you have perseverance because it does get really tough . You push through it and keep going.", Tai said
The strong young lady has been an FBI agent for four years and was based in Puerto Rico.
She is currently 32 years old, CNN reported.
Briefly News earlier reported that, Sydney Barber has made history as the first black woman to serve as a brigade commander at the US Navy Academy.
USA Today reports that she will be the 16th woman to hold the highly esteemed position since women became welcome in the Naval Academy in 1972. It should be noted that the first woman to hold the position was Juliane Gallina in 1992.
In a statement, Barber said she is really humbled by it all, especially how it placed her to play a big role in American history.
