South African author Jackie Phamotse raised urgent concerns on Saturday, 12 September 2026, warning her followers that a possible serial killer may be operating in the Kempton Park area after four women were found dead within a two-month period.

"There is possibly a serial killer in the Kempton Park area. 4 women have been killed in extremely close proximity. The police need to tell the public the truth. Someone is experimenting with women. This killer is getting braver, and more women are just disappearing," Phamotse wrote on X.

The South African Police Service confirmed it had intensified its investigations following the grim discoveries. The latest body was found on Saturday evening in the Rhodesfield area of Kempton Park. According to SAPS, detectives noted that the women were discovered "half-naked and with visible bruising," and that the locations of the finds were all in close proximity to one another.

While police stopped short of officially declaring a serial killer responsible, they acknowledged the similarities were serious enough to warrant both a public warning and an immediate escalation of the investigation.

"The safety of women remains a priority for SAPS, and the police will not wait for further incidents before taking decisive action," the police said in a statement.
