On Tuesday, Daniel Marven took to social media to ask tweeps if they believed money was an important factor in a relationship.

"Can a man without money make a woman happy in a relationship?" he asked.

Briefly.co.za gathered the post sparked quite the reaction and we decided to take a look at 10 of the most honest responses.

Twitter user @0206smile wrote: "I dont think its possible, man can try but women will have no respect and start to think she can find a better man and leave a good man, then boom a broke man finds a job after that woman left for money now it becomes a sad story for her after he finds someone and marry her. LIFE."

Derrick Polase, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @DerrickPolase, commented: "Yeah by introducing her to the guy with money."

Another tweep, @kwenzy_m, added: "Life is unpredictable so it's important for us not to base our love on material things because they come and go.. But money is important, but it should never be the source of attraction.."

Twitter user @TayPipss said: "When are you guys going to learn, love can't pay the bills. Young Kings let me tell you right now, don't be fooled by ladies on twitter saying that money don't matter in a relationship. In reality you got to secure the bag to sustain a successful relationship, that is a FACT."
