Master KG's Jerusalema has been flooding our timelines with people across the world taking part in a viral dance challenge.

The hit song has been danced to in France, Canada, Romania and Italy - to name only a couple of places.

However, no one does it batter than South Africans. A clip showing dancers in Katlehong, a township east of Johannesburg, busting a move to Jerusalema went viral on Mzansi social media.

The video was shared on Facebook on Friday by social media user Nelisiwe Mwase. She captioned the clip:

"Master KG Jerusalema Dance Challenge from Katlehong. Do you want to see Mama Nells Dance to this song?"

The video was filmed by @unclescrooch and featured dancers @SuperStarDan, @enzothatohatsi, @Oros_lajuice, @Syrus_dot5, @belojay8, @x_da_vosholist, @babsie2307 and TK Tikilosh.

The video quickly gathered over 408 000 views and Mzansi fell in love with the talented dancers' version of the #JerusalemaChallenge.

Cheryl Grainger Waddelow commented:

"So very talented! Bless South Africa and her people."

Leon Makebe wrote:

"Finally South Africans."

Berenice Barnard-Bryan added:

"Wowwwww, very entertaining and talented dancers. Keep up with the great performances."

Dean Berzen said:

"Awesome, awesome. This is South Africa's dance and we sure do it far better than in Europe. The moves, the flow, the rhythm, guys in Germany unfortunately just can't match that."

Watch the video below:

Briefly.co.za previously reported the dance popped up in Germany with a large group of people dancing to it outside on a beautiful sunny day. The dance appears to take place during a workout session with the instructor leading the dance while he and the dancers eat at the same time, another skill all on its own.

The video was posted by Master KG SA Music on Facebook with the following caption:

"Please keep streaming Jerusalema on digital platforms. #JerusalemaDance in Germany."

In other news, our girl, Babes Wodumo, has gone international again. The muso's blazing new single eLamonti is being enjoyed worldwide.

Videos of Alicia Keys and her kids dancing to the track have been shared on social media. Clearly Gqom music is here to stay.
