South African singer to perform in semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent

South African singer Belinda Davis has made it through to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent. The songstress entered the competition to take her career to the "next level" and it has surely been working for her.

She is known for being a Whitney Houston tribute artist and even auditioned for the 14th season of the competition with one of Whitney's songs One Moment in Time. Her audition saw her receive a standing ovation from the judges, including the one who is the most difficult to blow away, Simon Cowell.

Belinda announced on Instagram that she had made it to the semi-finals of the competition.

She wrote: "Good news - I'm in the Britain's Got Talent semi finals this weekend!!!"

Her performance will air on ITV at 8 PM UK time on Saturday. South Africans will be able to catch up to the show at a later stage from 5 October 2020, this is when the show will air on M-Net at 6 PM.

The Port Elizabeth born singer is in the running for the prize money, which amounts to £250,000 (R5 033 200). She is very talented and sometimes shares short snippets of herself singing on her social media.

Briefly.co.za has previously reported on Phelo Bala sharing his side of the story in his new song. Phelo Bala promised to spill the tea on his messy break up from Moshe Ndiki and he delivered. Phelo dropped a new single called Andisafuni and the track is basically the singer bearing his soul.

Phelo has earlier tweeted that he would be telling his side of the story on the 25th of September. He surprised many when he decided to share his story in the form of a song. In the song, Phelo explains that he will not stand by and be mistreated.
