Briefly.co.za previously reported on Banyana after Magaia secured their position in the Cosafa Women's Championship final. South Africa's national women's soccer team thrashed Malawi 6-2 at the Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth. A hat-trick by Hildah Magaia sent the team into the final of the 2020 Cosafa Women’s Championship.

The first half was a bit hectic with Samir Amido of Malawi being handed her marching orders for a terrible tackle on Magaia 20 minutes into the match.

Magaia gained an advantage for South Africa in the 62nd minute and again in the 68th minute. 15 minutes from time, Magaia netted her third (Banyana's sixth) goal, shattering Malawi's dream of a spot in the final.
