The projected US president-elect, Joe Biden has suffered an injury on his right foot while playing with one of his dogs, his doctor has disclosed.

His doctor, Kevin O'Connor disclosed that a scan on the foot indicated that Biden will likely need to wear a boot for several weeks.

CNN, citing the doctor, reported that an initial scan did not show any injury on the foot until a further examination was carried out.

Dr. Kevin O'Connor said:

"Initial x-rays did not show any obvious fracture, but his clinical exam warranted more detailed imaging,"
"Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden's lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks."

The Bidens have two dogs, Major and Champ, both German Shepherds.

They reportedly acquired their first dog, Champ after the 2008 election and adopted Major in 2018. The family said they’ll be bringing their dogs to the White House and also plan to get a cat.

Meanwhile, efforts by the Trump campaign to change the outcome of the US presidential election suffered another blow in a Federal Appeals Court on Friday, November 27.

According to CNN, the campaign's appeal alleging voting irregularities was denied by the Third Circuit Court of Appeals for lacking evidence.

The three-judge panel that gave the ruling pointed out that the allegations had already been rejected by multiple state judges in Pennsylvania.
