South Africans really do the most sometimes. After President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Monday evening, the #RamaphosaChallenge has been trending on Twitter. Tweeps are making fun of the spot Ramaphosa had on his mouth.

The trend shows people adding random items to the corners of their mouths in an attempt to replicate the spot the president had on his mouth. At the time of Briefly.co.za's viewing, #RamaphosaChallenge was the number one trend on Twitter.

Popular parody account @AdvoBarryRoux shared images of people participating in the odd challenge soon after Ramaphosa's address.

Briefly.co.za recently reported on the president after the nation's address on Monday evening. The president has finally spoken and there has been a shift from a Level 1 lockdown to a stricter and more stringent Level 3 lockdown.

Some of the new restrictions include a 9pm to 6am curfew and a ban from various public spaces. The president also said that those caught without masks could face the law and subsequent jail time. Since hearing the news, locals have shared their thought, read a few of them below:
