American rapper Cardi B does not seem so pleased about the amount of her money that is going into COVID-19 tests on a weekly basis.
The rap musician recently took to her page on Twitter and disclosed that she gets tested for coronavirus about four times every week.
According to Cardi, the test is not just carried out on her alone. The celebrity star disclosed that her glam team and members of management all have to undergo testing on a weekly basis.
The rapper’s tweet read in part:
"I get Covid tested bout 4 times a week. My glam and management gotta get tested as well."
The WAP crooner added that each test costs about $250 (over R3 000) for everyone that has to get tested.
A displeased Cardi was quick to add that coronavirus testing is now becoming a business venture for some people.

A follower who reacted to the tweet explained that the test is carried out for free for those in New York. She added that there should be no need for so much testing if the rapper is staying home most of the time.
She wrote:
"I received a letter in the mail yesterday from the health department here in NYC and it says its free regardless insurance coverage or immigration status. Maybe is different for her. I wonder is why so many tests? If you are home i don't think you should be testing that often."
Another fan explained that the test is only free for people with symptoms.
"It’s for people who are experiencing symptoms. It’s not for testing 4 times a week to make sure you and your staff aren’t carrying it asymptomatically."
Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that the popular American rapper left fans surprised after branching out of her usual routine.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker in a viral video on social media was spotted rocking an African headgear and wrapper tied around her waist.
Cardi donned this attire as she learned to do an African dance alongside professionals.
