The plot continues to thicken with regards to the rape allegations pitted against DJ Fresh and Euphonik. The woman who accused them of rape, Twitter user @nampree, now claims that the police leaked her statement.

Taking to social media, the lady made the revelation and tagged the official South African Police account.

Her tweet read:

“Police leaked my statement. Lol ya nhe @SAPoliceService”

Social media users saw her tweet and were quick to react. Ntsiki Mazwai was at the forefront of the responses as she offered her support to the alleged victim. She tweeted:

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported that DJ Fresh and Euphonik have been cancelled following the revelation that the two are at the centre of a scandal in which they are alleged to have sexually assaulted the same woman on the same night.

According to TimesLive, the police have opened a case in Pretoria. This has resulted in a massive social media backlash against the artists.

Primedia Broadcasting has issued a statement saying that the DJs and the company had reached a mutual decision that the pair would be taken off the air while the investigation continues.

947 and Primedia Broadcasting have said that they take the allegation very seriously and has taken the decision to cancel the pair's appearances and gigs.

Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that Gauteng police have confirmed that official charges have been laid against Euphonik and DJ Fresh for allegedly drugging and raping a young woman back in 2011.

Earlier this week, a woman took to Twitter claiming that the two DJs took advantage of her while she was drunk. She claimed that they had drugged her and raped her.

Police authorities confirmed to TshisaLive that formal cases of rape had been lodged against the two of them.

The woman requested that her identity remained hidden and revealed that the ordeal happened while she was at a party in 2011. At the time, she was a student at the University of Pretoria.
