“Thank you to the NFTA awards for recognizing the hard work, blood, sweat and tears we’ve put into this franchise. We had to learn from scratch how to film, plan and shoot this show and it wasn’t easy.

"This season was especially hard because I was dealing with health issues, but my weekly iron drips and oxygen tank sessions have literally saved my life, that is why it’s extra sweet to be accepting this award on behalf of everyone who rallied behind RHOJ and SMF.”

The victory comes after she clarified issues with the tax man after being accused of 42 tax evasion charges with her former business partners for the production of RHOJ under the previous production company Rhosa before parting ways to start SMF.

Her spokesperson had said she had left Rhosa in 2019, unaware that the company was still operational under SARS, automatically linking her to the incurred fines.
