Mokebe previously accused Matshaba of denying him access to their daughter during an interview on Kaya FM's Home with Mapaseka Mokwele in March 2016. He revealed that since 2010, the actress has not allowed him to see the child, prompting him to stop paying child support in 2011. Tsholo denied the claims, saying,

What Dingaan told Kaya FM listeners was blatant lies. I've never deprived him of seeing his daughter. Dingaan has never made an effort to see his child, even when we were together. What he forgot to mention in that interview is that he used to physically and emotionally abuse me.

Tsholo holds a National Diploma in Musical Theatre from Tshwane University of Technology and has been in the South African acting scene since the mid-2000s. She became a household name across the country after playing Meme on SABC2's Muvhango.
