“If you've been to Durban and you go to Point, it's been overrun, heavy Nigerian presence, well known that there's drugs that move there, well known that there's other crimes that those police that we spoke about that are on the levels E and D are well paid by these guys to leave them alone. That's why that crime is allowed to continue. The way it continues here comes from Mkhwanazi and his squad of guys who know they've got the backup of a commissioner like him. When they come in there, there's no talk of bribes. There's no talk of we'll pay you to go away. They clean up,” he said.
DJ Warras criticises Ramaphosa's response to General Mkhwanazi
Warras also criticised President Ramaphosa for setting up a commission of inquiry to probe the allegations made against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, instead of acting decisively.
“The man is saying he's got the WhatsApp conversations between him and this individual and the answer by Number 1 and our government is, ‘Let us discuss it over the next six months.’ What the hell? And now in the last six days, that matter has turned into murderers we couldn't catch for years, couldn't find these people. We had no idea who shot [DJ] Sumbody. We had no idea who performed this hit that hit. These people have three or four of them have been arrested in the last week. Did they just happen upon this information, like all of it? You know, did police really get good at doing their jobs in the last 6 days? I refuse to believe,” Warras said.

Netizens weigh in on DJ Warras's damning claims
In the comments, outspoken podcast host Nota Baloyi accused DJ Warras of lying and claimed that the police were the real criminals. Another social media user accused Warras of being selective by blaming only foreigners for crime.
Here are the comments:
@lavidaNOTA argued:
“False, the drug lords are supplied drugs by the police on consignment. Only the police can retrieve the drugs from the ports. Warras is running cover for the security industry because that’s where he works; he must declare this before making such allegations!”
@LugileK highlighted:
“Always mentioning foreign nationals, but they refuse to acknowledge that we have local people who are drug lords, and they are even in government. Useless people.”
