It seems that Anele Mdoda did not know who the legendary Mduduzi Mabaso was, but that did not stop her from giving him his flowers.

Anele Mdoda recently shared her thoughts about the new Netflix series, Marked, and said one character in particular blew her away.

In a Twitter (X) post on 11 August 2025, the radio personality said Constable Katlego Modise, played by veteran actor Mduduzi Mabaso, was a standout role on the show, and praised Mabaso's performance:

Surprisingly enough, it seems that Anele was not familiar with Mabaso, evidenced by her failure to mention his name and only referring to him as "that oke," despite their years in the entertainment space. However, Mabaso is no stranger to the small screen.

He played Suffocate Ndlovu on the South African hit drama series, Rhythm City, between 2007 and 2021, and appeared in later shows like Queendom and House of Zwide.

Anele's admiration of Mabaso's talent speaks to his decades-long commitment to his craft, his versatility and ability to consistently put on an incredible performance.
